Context
The natural wine sector is uniquely exposed to the challenges of climate change. Small-scale producers, committed to chemical-free and low-intervention practices, operate with limited protection against environmental variability. As an importer, Ultra Wines saw an opportunity not only to distribute natural wine but also to build a brand that connects producers and consumers around shared values of authenticity, sustainability, and human connection.

Strategy
As an importer, Ultra Wines needed to embed sustainability into its distribution and operational framework. Together, we developed practices that aligned with environmental and social responsibility: Responsible sourcing Partnering exclusively with growers committed to regenerative and low-intervention agriculture. Fair economics: Ensuring equitable agreements that support the long-term viability of small-scale producers. Carbon-conscious logistics Prioritizing efficient shipping, exploring regional distribution hubs, and offsetting environmental impact. Packaging innovation Encouraging the use of eco-friendly materials and piloting circular solutions such as refill and reuse systems.
